Application Bachelor course - Autumn semester 2026

Welcome to BFH

Thank you for choosing to register for one of our degree programmes / further education courses. Please take the following information into account when you start the registration process:

Do you have an active BFH account?

Students or employees with an active BFH account (email address @bfh.ch or @students.bfh.ch) should enter the following information during login:
User name: your BFH ID code
Password: the BFH password that matches with your ID code
Have you forgotten your password? Please contact BFH IT Services.

Have you previously registered online for a BFH course?

Please make use of the login details sent to you during your previous online registration.
Have you forgotten your user name or password? In this case, please use the link below; «Forgotten user name /password?», and submit the email address that you have registered with us. Within a few minutes, you will receive an email containing your login details.

Are you registering online for the first time for a BFH course?

Please use the link below; «Account setup» to create your personal user account.
If your details have not been previously logged by the system, you will immediately receive an email with your login details. Only one account per person can be created. If your details or very similar details are already registered in the system, a little time will be required as we will need to carry out a manual inspection of the information provided. In this case, your user name and password will be sent to you by email during the course of the next working day; you will then be able to start the registration process.

SMS authentication is no longer required Two-factor authentication is required to log in with SWITCH edu-ID. The SMS-based multi-factor authentication option, which was available until now, will be disabled on 14 September 2026 as it is considered insecure. Please set up an alternative authentication method in good time to ensure that you can continue to access your account.

How to proceed:

1. Log in to your SWITCH edu-ID account.

2. Open your security settings.

3. Define a second authentication factor, such as an authenticator app or a passkey/security token.

Please note: If SMS is still set up as your second authentication factor after 14 September 2026, you will only be able to log in with your edu-ID once you have set up an alternative method. For questions or technical issues, please contact the IT Service Desk.
