Please take the following information into account when you start the registration process:
Authentication with Switch edu-ID
To register for an offer from BFH, you must log in with your Switch edu-ID. Click on the logo to open the login window in a new window.
If you do not yet have an edu-ID, you can create one directly at Switch.
SMS authentication is no longer required Two-factor authentication is required to log in with SWITCH edu-ID. The SMS-based multi-factor authentication option, which was available until now, will be disabled on 14 September 2026 as it is considered insecure. Please set up an alternative authentication method in good time to ensure that you can continue to access your account.
How to proceed:
1. Log in to your SWITCH edu-ID account.
2. Open your security settings.
3. Define a second authentication factor, such as an authenticator app or a passkey/security token.
Please note: If SMS is still set up as your second authentication factor after 14 September 2026, you will only be able to log in with your edu-ID once you have set up an alternative method. For questions or technical issues, please contact the IT Service Desk.
